- $38-40 / Hour
- 8 Hour or 12 Hour Shifts (Occasional Overtime)
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Job duties for 1st Grade Stationary Engineer:
- Manage high-pressure boilers, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems
- Follow standard and emergency procedures for steam plant operations
- Conduct safe equipment startup and shutdown
- Log hourly boiler plant data and operational records
- Report equipment and operational issues
- Discuss steam system performance with supervisor
- Diagnose and troubleshoot processes and conditions
- Implement boiler and feedwater chemistry protocols
- Complete minor mechanical maintenance
- Operate material handling and access equipment (Use of hand truck and step ladder)
- Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications for 1st Grade Stationary Engineer:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in Boiler/Powerhouse Utilities and high-pressure steam generation
- Valid Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer License
- Must be familiar with steam, air, oil, and power systems in a Steam Plant and be able to follow the approved standard and emergency procedures
- Wear PPE as required
- Familiar with boiler, feedwater chemistry, and treatment
- Strong understanding of boilers (JCI/MCI-H - Water Tube Boilers, CMCF – Fire Tube Boilers), softeners, pumps, and auxiliary equipment
- Formal training and experience in the operation of high-pressure boilers
- Proficient in written and verbal English communication
- Ability to stand for the duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb and reach
