Duties for Geographic Information Systems Technician positions: 
Create and update electrical asset drawings using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other GIS or drafting software
Produce cartographic displays and detailed engineering and construction drawings in a production-based team environment
Build and maintain web maps, web apps, and dashboards using ArcGIS Online for internal and client use
Maintain graphical features and data within client GIS systems such as ArcFM, Intergraph FRAMME, Smallworld, and G/Tech
Apply client construction standards, utility information systems, and company drawing standards including fonts, line weights, borders, and naming conventions
Track project progress and support QA/QC processes while meeting production deadlines
Prepare reports and documentation using Microsoft Office, Access, Fulcrum, Nitro Pro, Adobe Acrobat, and other industry software
Assist with field data collection tools, GPS data capture, and post-processing activities
Support the maintenance, reporting, posting, and collection of data for client mapping and GIS applications
Collaborate with designers, engineers, GIS management, and support staff on assigned projects 
These skills and abilities make you a great candidate for Geographic Information Systems Technician: 
Associate degree, technical school education, or equivalent technical experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geospatial Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
GIS certification preferred
