Job duties for Experienced Engineer positions:
- Provide advanced engineering expertise to solve complex problems and provide leadership skills to manage work in a specific area of expertise
- Integrated system planning
- Data collection and system modeling
- Arrester and winding assessments
- Equipment loading, sizing, and settings
- Cricut analysis and coordination
- Thermal / voltage/ losses
- Phase loading and volt drop calculations
- System Volt/VAR analysis and remediation
- Reactive compensation studies
- Dynamic management
- Arc flash studies and training
- Arc flash analysis
- Provides technical support to clients when needed
- Identifies methods for leadership to enhance the level of technical understanding of the assigned engineers resulting in improved study effectiveness
- Develops procedures, protocols, ensures analysis software meets requirements and provides training to all required personnel
- Respond to customer inquires regarding System Impact Studies
- Produces thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
Qualifications for Experienced Engineer position:
- 8-12 years of experience as a practicing engineer or equivalent
- State registration as a Professional Engineer
- Skilled in engineering theories and principles
- Skilled in practices or researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing/presenting recommendations
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
